About the GBAC
The GBAC advises the ERS Board of Trustees to help ensure that the benefits offered through the Texas Employees Group Benefits Program (GBP) provide value to participants and employers at a reasonable cost. Members serve staggered three-year terms and meet twice a year, generally in the spring and fall.
GBAC members represent a cross section of GBP-participating entities around the state. ERS is accepting applications in these categories:
- Large state agency (employing more than 800 GBP enrollees in the previous year)
- Mid-sized state agency (100 to 799 GBP enrollees)
- Small state agency (fewer than 100 GBP enrollees)
- Two-year institution of higher education
- Insurance or benefit design consultant or professional
