The following candidates for the ERS Board of Trustees election were certified on April 22 at ERS:
What do you want to know?
The candidates will answer members’ questions at the Board of Trustees candidate forum on Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. CT at the William B. Travis Building at 1701 Congress Ave in Austin, Room 1-111
If you can’t attend in person, consider watching the forum online—it will stream live on the ERS website. Voters, including those watching online, can ask the candidates questions during the forum.

. We will ask the candidates as many questions as time permits during the forum. If we don’t get to your question, it’s because we ran out of time.
ERS will provide a recording of the forum on the website throughout the voting period.
Voting starts on Friday, May 10 and ends Friday, June 14. The candidate who gets the most votes will be the new trustee. Look for more information about the election and the candidates in upcoming issues of News About Your Benefits

Who can vote in the election?
- Retirees who get monthly annuity payments from ERS
- Active state agency employees
- Former state agency employees who still have money in the Trust Fund.
ERS will certify results on July 11. The new Board member’s term will begin September 1, 2019.
