HealthSelect participants: keep an eye out for your new medical ID card in the mail

November 02, 2022

HealthSelect and Consumer Directed HealthSelect logoAll HealthSelectSM plan participants will get a new Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) medical ID card in the mail in November. You are getting the new medical ID card because BCBSTX has added more information for you on the card. When you get your new medical ID card in the mail, check the back of it to see your annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximum amounts.

Remember, any deductibles you might pay and the out-of-pocket maximum resets every January 1. The out-of-pocket maximum amount is the most you will pay for in-network medical care in the 2023 calendar year.

There is no deductible for the HealthSelect of Texas® plan when you use in-network providers. The Consumer Directed HealthSelectSM plan includes both in- and out-of-network deductibles.
