Reminder: You still have time to spend your Plan Year 2022 TexFlex funds
Plan Year 2022 is almost over. If you contributed to a TexFlexSM flexible spending account (FSA) in PY22, now is a good time to double-check your FSA balance. You can check it by:
- logging in to http://www.texflexers.com/ OR
- downloading the PayFlex Mobile® app.
Important dates to remember
If you did not use all of your TexFlex FSA funds, you still have time. And, even if you don’t spend the money in your FSA by August 31, all is not lost.
- Health care and/or limited-purpose FSA participants: You can carry over up to $550 to Plan Year 2023 (starting Sept. 1, 2022). Please note: There is a minimum carryover amount of $25 if you did not re-enroll for the new plan year.
- Dependent care FSA participants: Unused funds will not carry over. However, you do have a 2 ½ month grace period from Sept. 1 to Nov. 15, 2022 to spend PY22 funds in your dependent care FSA.

Things to remember
If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for direct deposit. Direct deposit allows you to receive your reimbursement more quickly when you submit a claim. Contact TexFlex Customer Care at the number below for more information on how to set up a direct deposit.
If you want to be sure to use your health care FSA funds to avoid forfeiture, keep in mind there are a number of eligible products you can stock up on. The online FSA store is a good resource. Just be sure to keep your receipts.
