Parking

Limited parking is available in front of the ERS building and as marked in Garage R (across 18th St. from ERS, with entrances on San Jacinto Blvd. and Brazos St.).

If you have handicap plates or tags, you can park at metered parking free of charge.

When you need to send a fax to ERS, please include a cover sheet that includes only:

  • Your name,
  • Your contact information,
  • Your Employee ID or the last four digits of your Social Security number and
  • A brief explanation of the issue.

We answer emails as soon as possible, but it might be several days before we respond. For a faster response, please call us 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.

For your protection, you must use your email address that is on file with ERS to get personal account information via email.

For security of your account, we are NOT able to do the following by email: 

  • Reset your password or unlock your account
  • Change your insurance coverage
  • Update account information  (including, but not limited to: mailing address, phone number or email address)
  • Begin the retirement application process
  • Call you or schedule a callback
  • Schedule an in-person meeting with a retirement counselor. (You can discuss your retirement and complete the application process by calling us. You do not need to schedule a visit.  If you prefer an in-person visit, you can make an appointment with an ERS Retirement Counselor.)
