Actuarial Services for Insurance RFP

Description: The Employees Retirement System of Texas seeks responses from qualified entities to provide actuarial services for insurance for the Texas Employees Group Benefits Program.
Date:   The RFP will be published on or after January 16, 2024.

General Public Equity Investment Advisory Services RFA

Description: The Employees Retirement System of Texas seeks qualified advisors that have existing strategies to provide general public equity investment advisory services.
Date:  The RFA will be published on or after January 29, 2024.

Investment Consulting Services RFQ 

Description: The purpose of the RFQ is to contract with one (1) or more firms to provide investment consulting services.
The services required by the RFQ are divided into seven (7) service categories, which are:

  • General Investment Consulting;
  • Hedge Fund Consulting; 
  • Investment Practices Reporting Consulting;
  • Private Credit Consulting; 
  • Private Equity Consulting;
  • Private Infrastructure Consulting; and
  • Private Real Estate Consulting. 

The investment consultants shall provide advice and assistance to ERS on maintaining and monitoring an investment strategy that is consistent with and integrated into ERS’ Investment Policy Statement. ERS’ investment of assets is also governed by laws of the State, including but not limited to, the Tex. Gov’t Code Sections 815.301 through 815.307 and the Texas Constitution, Article 16, Section 67.
Date: The RFQ will be available February 2024.

Communications Consulting Services RFQ

Description: The purpose of this RFQ is to select one (1) or more qualified Respondent(s) to:

  1. Review some of ERS’ current member communications and provide suggestions for improvement, and 
  2. Develop marketing and communication materials to raise awareness of the resources the Benefits Communications division has available to benefits coordinators and encourage engagement with those resources.

Through these services, ERS expects to increase member awareness and knowledge, and better support the benefits coordinators who assist ERS in educating members about benefits.
Date: The RFQ will be available March 2024.
