The new website for State of Texas VisionSM is now live at member.eyemedvisioncare.com/stateoftexasvision.

To help you prepare for the transition beginning Sept. 1, the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) and EyeMed are offering the following online resources:

  • The Find a Provider tool allows you to search for an in-network vision provider from the vast EyeMed network. You can search using either your location, by ZIP code and further by vision provider’s last name or office name. If a vision provider is not currently in network, you can nominate them beginning Sept. 1 and EyeMed will contact the provider. Remember to stay in the network to maximize your benefits.
  • The Benefits page has an overview of the in-network member cost/copay versus the out-of-network reimbursement for eye exams, frames, lenses, contact lenses and different lens options. Please note that the benefits aren’t changing under EyeMed’s administration.
  • The Resources page includes EyeMed’s Summer Enrollment PDF presentation and Summer Enrollment video, as well as an overview of the "Know Before You Go" tool that will be available beginning Sept. 1 to help you estimate your out-of-pocket costs before you go to the provider.
  • The State of Texas vision plan administrator transition page on the ERS website also has helpful information about the transition.
