State of Texas Vision transition to EyeMed

Superior Vision’s plan website and customer service will support participants until Feb. 28, 2024

EyeMed Vision Care, LLC (EyeMed) is getting ready to take over as the third-party administrator of State of Texas VisionSM on Sept. 1. Here are some reminders and helpful information about the transition:

From Sept. 1:

  • You will see the new plan website by EyeMed when you go to StateofTexasVision.com. (Superior Vision will continue to manage the StateofTexasVision.com website through Aug. 31.)
  • If you’re enrolling in State of Texas Vision for Plan Year 2024 or will continue participation from PY23, you should create a new account at www.stateoftexasvision.com. Current enrollees will no longer have access to the online portal with Superior Vision after Aug. 31.
  • If a provider is not currently in network with EyeMed, you can complete the Provider Nomination Form.
  • You will not need an ID card to see vision providers, but you will get two ID cards from EyeMed.

  • If you currently participate in State of Texas Vision, contact Superior Vision toll-free at (877) 396-4128 (TTY: 711) for help with coverage and claims incurred through Aug. 31.
  • Through Feb. 28, 2024, you can go to portal.superiorvision.com/stateoftexasvision for plan information until Aug. 31, 2023. You will not be able to see their claims on the website.
  • You can also contact Superior at the number above until Feb. 28, 2024 for help with claims you incurred before Aug. 31, 2023.
