Notify ERS as soon as possible when you experience life changes such as marriage, divorce, death, Medicare eligibility or children getting their own coverage. There are possible benefits and coverage options available to you as a result of these types of life changes.

By the time many of you read this, voting in the 2019 ERS Board of Trustees election will have closed and, we hope, you will have cast a ballot for your favorite candidate. If you’re reading this before June 14, are eligible to vote and haven’t voted yet, you still have a chance to mail your ballot or vote electronically.

Rules, statutes and other regulations relating to ERS are posted on our Statutes and Rules webpage. Proposed and adopted changes to ERS rules are published throughout the year in the Texas Register.
Generally, ERS sends direct-deposit annuities on the last business day of the month. And we mail paper checks on the last business day of the month.
